What are the different course plans?
We offer:
- Monthly Course: ₹4,000 / ₹5,000 (graded exam optional)
- Quarterly Course (3 Months): ₹11,000 / ₹14,000 (₹1,000 discount)
- Certification Course (6 Months): ₹22,000 / ₹28,000 (₹2,000 discount)

Do you offer certification?
Yes. We provide preparation and support for:
- Trinity College of Music, London
- Rock School London (RSL)
- ABRSM
- Bhatkhande & Banasthali University (for Indian classical vocals)
Are trial classes available?
Trial classes are offered based on availability and prior discussion. They are generally paid and pre-scheduled.
Are classes recorded?
Online classes may be recorded for quality and safety purposes. Recordings are academy property and not shared unless part of a course structure.
Can I reschedule a class if I miss it?
A missed class will be considered as absent and counted. Rescheduling is only allowed under emergency or valid reasons and must follow our leave & cancellation policy. Prior notice is mandatory.
Can I switch teachers or subjects mid-course?
Yes, but only after official approval and based on availability. Mid-course changes are subject to administrative policies.
How can I pay the fees?
Fees can be paid via:
- Bank Transfer / UPI
- Debit/Credit Card
- Cash (for offline only)
Advance payment is mandatory to confirm your slot.
Is there any refund policy?
No refunds are provided once the course has started. Please read our Fee Policy & Payments section for details.
Can I join if I'm a beginner with no musical background?
Absolutely! We train complete beginners as well as advanced learners with customized lesson plans.
What languages are the classes taught in?
Our classes are available in:

What if my teacher is unavailable for a class?
You will be informed in advance. The class will either be rescheduled or conducted by a substitute teacher.
Are group or one-on-one classes available?
Yes. We offer both formats. Course fees and structure differ based on class type.
Can I take online classes from outside India?
Yes. Our online classes are accessible globally, including in the USA, UAE, UK, European Countries, Singapore, Canada and more.
Is my personal information kept confidential?
Yes. We strictly protect your data as per our Privacy Policy and do not share personal information without consent.

Can I choose my preferred teacher?
Yes, based on availability. We do our best to match students with the right teacher for their learning style and goals.
Can I request class recordings?
Recordings (if available) are the academy's property and may be shared only in pre-recorded or structured courses, not for regular live classes.
I'm shy to sing or perform—can I still join?
Of course! We create a safe, encouraging, and non-judgmental environment. Confidence building is part of your training.
Can I switch my course or subject?
Yes, but only after approval. This is usually allowed at the end of a course module, not mid-way.
Can I attend two subjects together?
Yes, if time slots are available and you're willing to pay for both. Many of our students learn both vocals and an instrument together.
What happens if I get sick or miss a class?
You must inform the academy at least 24 hours in advance for rescheduling consideration, subject to our Leave Policy.
Can I get extra classes or fast-track learning?
Yes, premium or personalized programs are available for intensive learning or performance preparation.
Are there any student performances or exams?
Yes! We conduct internal recitals, open mic events, and offer graded certification exams to track your progress and boost confidence.
Is my child too young to join?
We offer beginner-level classes from age 4+ for instruments and vocals. Assessments can be done for younger children.
Are the teachers background-verified?
Yes. All teachers are vetted, experienced, and trained under academy policies.
Can I sit in the class with my child?
For very young children or trial sessions, parents may be allowed initially. However, regular classes are best conducted without parent presence to ensure focus.
How can I monitor my child's progress?
We provide monthly reports (for long-term courses) and regular verbal updates. Our LMS (Learning Management System) also tracks attendance and performance.
What are the safety measures in offline classes?
We maintain strict safety norms—surveillance in classrooms, restricted campus entry, and a first-aid-ready environment.
Is there a parent–teacher interaction system?
Yes. We schedule periodic parent–teacher discussions to review the student's progress and resolve any concerns.
What if my child has medical needs?
Please inform us in advance about any medical conditions or medications. Emergency contact details and medicine must be submitted to the academy.
Does STMA help students build a music career?
Yes! At STMA, we're not just focused on teaching music — we help students shape a career path through performance opportunities, portfolio building, and personalized guidance from experienced professionals.

Do you prepare students for music college or grade exams?
Yes, we provide full support for Trinity, Rockschool, ABRSM, Bhatkhande, Banasthali, etc. exams and also guide students in applying to domestic and international music colleges (e.g., Berklee, KM Music Conservatory, etc.).
Can I get help with recording songs and releasing music?
Absolutely. We assist with:
- Demo recordings (via our in-house or partnered studios)
- Guidance on vocal/instrument arrangement
- Distribution support for platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, etc.
- Branding & digital strategy for independent artists
Does STMA help students become music teachers?
Yes. If you're interested in teaching, we offer teacher training, classroom exposure, and internship or part-time teaching roles within STMA for eligible students.
Is career mentorship available for all students?
Career mentorship is available on request for dedicated students enrolled in longer-duration or certification courses. One-on-one mentorship may be scheduled periodically based on student progress and commitment.
Can you help me create a YouTube channel or social media profile for music?
Yes! We guide students in:
- Creating content ideas
- Choosing the right aesthetic and niche
- Basic editing tools
- Maintaining a consistent, professional online artist presence
Will STMA promote student talent publicly?
Definitely. We feature student work on:
- Our social media platforms
- Live performances and collaborations
- In select cases, press features or public showcases (based on merit and readiness)
Will I get a chance to perform live?
Yes! STMA believes in stage exposure and performance-based learning. We host regular student recitals, jam sessions, open mic nights, and annual showcases to give all students performance opportunities.
Do I have to perform on stage? What if I'm not ready?
Performing is encouraged but not compulsory. If you feel nervous, you can attend as an audience member initially. We help you gradually build confidence through smaller group performances before solo opportunities.
Are there online performance events too?
Yes. We conduct online concerts, YouTube-based performance series, and Instagram reels featuring student talent, especially for students learning remotely.
How often do performance events happen?
Typically, we organize internal performances once every 7-8 months, and larger public events or annual concerts once or twice a year. Smaller surprise events and themed weeks are also held occasionally.
Who can participate in performances?
All enrolled students are eligible! However, participation may depend on readiness, regular attendance, and teacher recommendation.
Are performances paid or ticketed?
Most in-house student showcases are free or included in your course fee. Some special events may require a minimal registration fee or audition depending on the venue and scale.
Do students get certificates or awards for performances?
Generally yes but not compulsory! Every performer receives a Certificate of Participation. Outstanding performances may be awarded merit certificates, trophies, or social media features.
Can parents and friends attend the performances?
Absolutely! We encourage parents, family, and friends to attend student events and celebrate the progress of our learners. But sometimes, if the event is closed & with limited audience, the parents/friends might be limited/restricted.
